Also the term refers to electronic devices, instruments, computer hardware, and software used in performance, playback, recording, composition, mixing, analysis, and editing of music. By using the application of computing technology in music composition, it helps human composers create new music or to have computers independently create music.

How are they different between Digital Music Technology and musical instruments?

Learning Digital Music Technology and Musical Instruments is different in which, studying Music Instruments involve learning to play with a real instrument such as piano, drums and guitar but Digital Music Technology refers to the production of music through the use of your computer, by combining all musical instruments to become a song. So Digital Music Technology is a hybrid computer which is able to blend analog and digital features of computers. A hybrid computer is a computer consisting of an analog computer and a digital computer. The two worlds are connected with ADCs/DACs (analog to digital/digital to analog converters).
